Allen Family Foundation supports the work of nonprofit organizations that conduct effective community work primarily in the five-state Pacific Northwest region of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. The Foundation's vision for transforming lives and building healthy communities guides its funding areas, which include nurturing the arts, engaging children in learning, addressing the needs of vulnerable populations, and advancing scientific and technological discoveries.

The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation is overseen by Co-Founder and President Jo Lynn Allen, and administered by Vulcan Inc. in Seattle.
